The minimum registered capital for Bulgarian companies

According to the Bulgarian Commercial Law (since its amendment from November 2009) the minimum registered capital for Bulgarian companies is 2 BGN. The old legislation before November 2009 has been requiring the Bulgarian companies to be registered with minimum 5, 000 leva capital.

However, although the legislation allows the companies to be established only with such minimal sum of 2 BGN, the amount of the capital for the each company depends actually on the company`s activity, so this issue should be preliminary discussed with the accountant.

The capital of one company is always a constant quantity. Its meaning is related with the responsibility of the company. One company should be responsible about its actions before third parties with its capital in case if the company has not property or other assets during the years from its registration.
